Our gratitude to DOST PCIEERD IDP Program for the grant, DOST PCIEERD’s S&T Fellows for the technical assistance and support and to the previous administrators of CNU (Dr. Filomena T. Dayagbil, Dr. Daisy Palompon and Dr. Angeline M. Pogoy for the series of capacity building activities which paved the way for the conceptualization of the GROWTH Lab).

This GROWTH Lab would not have been made possible without the assistance and technical guidance of my mentors on aromatic plants: Sir Arsie Ella (retired scientist, DOST FPRDI, Ma’am Florena B. Samiano (lead researcher, Flavors and Fragrances R&D of DOST FPRDI), Sir John Rey Callado (Pteridologist, FPRDI), Dr. Domingo Madulid (retired Scientist IV, Phil. National Museum), Dr Jun Ramer Buot (Scientist, UPLB Botany Division) and Dr. Maribel Agoo Belay Agoo (DLSU Taxonomy Lab).

As this regional research laboratory for plant gums, resins, oils and woodcraft about to start its establishment, we are also extending our gratitude for the unparalleled support coming from our new CNU President, Dr. Daniel Ariaso, Sr., VP REP Dr. Rufina Rosaroso and CNU Balamban Campus Director, Litalits Amba Bacalla and CNU Planing Officer, Dr Eson Ibañez . We look forward to the series of R&D activities that will be conducted in the lab, and how these products and processes be used in biomedicine, nutrition research, wood craft innovation and others.
